A full ban on English in international communication
A full ban on English in international communication – for equality of all the world's languages!
We, citizens of the world from many countries and continents, declare that the current total dominance of English in international communication, science, business, technology, films, music, and on the internet has long exceeded all reasonable limits.
This dominance creates unfair inequality:
people from many nations must spend years losing time and money learning a foreign language just to get by in the world, while native English speakers enjoy a huge advantage without any comparable effort.
This is not natural evolution – it is linguistic hegemony that slowly destroys the richness and beauty of national languages, cultures, and identities on every continent – in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and beyond.
Yes, it is good and practical to have one common language in the world that everyone can use to communicate everywhere. But if there is to be such a language, English and American people must learn it too – they mostly never learn any foreign language.
Therefore we demand:
A full ban on using English as the sole or main working language in all international organizations, including the United Nations (UN).
Immediate introduction of a system....
