A full ban on English in international communication

Immediate introduction of a system in which all national languages have equal weight and rotate in official communication. Every government in the world must give priority to its mother tongue in education, public administration, justice, and public media – English must not be mandatory.

Large technology companies and social networks must ensure the same full functionality and visibility for all major world languages, not only for English.

The UN must adopt a new resolution “For linguistic equality and the protection of the world's national languages” that enshrines these principles. We are not against English as such – we are against one single language dominating the entire world and making others feel inferior in their own country.

Politicians, MPs, presidents, ministers – as well as spiritual leaders, religious representatives, cultural authorities, and leaders of other cultures on every continent – take this as our clear mandate.

Bring this petition to your parliaments, international forums, mosques, temples, schools, and communities on every continent where national identity and culture feel threatened by English dominance. The petition will continue as long as more voices join – and history will remember who stood for language equality and who stayed silent.

And as a fair long-term solution for a common language we propose:

Esperanto – a neutral constructed language that favours no one, threatens no national language, and can be learned much faster than any national language.

That would finally level the playing field – no one would have an advantage simply because they were born in a particular country.
